STEP back in time to the heady days of the 1960s and listen to The Doors Alive, a British tribute act widely regarded as the closest and most enthralling representation of the legendary rock band fronted by Jim Morrison.

On Friday night at the Victoria pub in Swindon, the Doors Alive will re-create the sound, look, presence and magic of a real 1960s Doors concert, with classic hits such as Light My Fire, When The Music’s Over, Riders On The Storm, The End and many more.

Willie Scott captures the look, attitude, and rich baritone voice of the late, great Jim Morrison while his band recreates the sound of original Doors members Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore.

To achieve an authentic Sixties sound, the band uses the very same instruments that members of the Doors originally used. These include vintage keyboards such as the Gibson and the Fender Rhodes Bass, as well as the vintage Gibson SG Guitar.

The Doors Alive have delighted audiences all over the world and repeatedly sold out some of the most well established venues, including 02 Academies all over the UK.

The orignal band took their name from a essay by writer Aldous Huxley called The Doors of Perception and they released their eponymous first album in 1967, which included iconic songs such as Break on Through (to the Other Side) and the chart hit Light My Fire, as well as The End, which was used in Francis Ford Coppola’s film Apocalypse Now.

The same year, they released the follow-up album Strange Days, which featured People are Strange and When the Music’s Over.
