NEW College Swindon has won recognition for its innovative partnership with business at the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce (TVCC) business awards last week.

The college won the Education and Business Partnership Award which celebrates further educational colleges effectively engaging with businesses.

Judges applauded the college for developing the skills employers most look for in pupils and the college's Fast Forward apprenticeship scheme.

Their commitment to vocational and work-based learning is inspirational and they approach this with innovative thinking and passion. The night was hosted at a black-tie event which at The Hilton Hotel in Reading, by five-time Olympian, world, European and commonwealth Champion Mark Foster.
