RESIDENTS’ parking in Old Town will be reviewed, council officers say.
Swindon Borough Council said it would be reviewing all parking restrictions including double yellow lines and limited waiting spaces.
They have put aside £10,000 for replacing parking signs and painting new lines in residents’ parking zones L and N, which covers Devizes Road, Avenue Road, Springfield Road and Quarry Road.
In a letter to councillors, borough traffic officer Julie Furneval said: “Over the next few weeks I will be sending out a notification to residents within both zones to advise them of the review and to open a dialogue with them regarding their zones.”
She said the review would see the removal of outdated signs telling drivers they could only park for five minutes along roads in the two parking zones.
The L and N zones are the last of the 12 residents’ parking areas to be reviewed by the council
