A SWINDON man charged after an alleged stabbing has been remanded in custody.

Jamaal Mortimer, 21, of Curtis Street, appeared before Salisbury Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with wounding with intent and possession of a knife.

It follows an alleged attack that saw a Swindon man, 20s, admitted to the Great Western Hospital on Sunday morning with stab wounds.

Mortimer was remanded in custody to appear at Swindon Crown Court at a date yet to be fixed.
