A cyclist suffered life-changing abdominal injuries after a collision with a vehicle on Pinehurst Road.
Between 9pm and 10pm on Saturday July 7, the 24-year-old man was cycling along a stretch of a footpath and cycle path that crosses part of the road, near an open green area.
Suddenly, he was knocked unconscious by a moving vehicle - he can't remember exactly what happened.
The man was taken to hospital with life changing injuries - he has now been released and is recovering at home.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision.
PC Tom Wilson said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have heard or seen this collision on Pinehurst Road on this particular Saturday evening.
"It was still light and this is a busy road, so someone should have seen or heard something.
"We are also interested in speaking to the motorist who was involved in this collision - please come forward if that's you."
