COMEDIAN Mark Steel is claiming a world record for extremes of temperature between two shows in Swindon.

He performed a gig at the Wyvern in March at the height of the snow, meaning some audience members didn't make it.

So he came back yesterday to play for them.

On Twitter, he said: "I claim a world record. March 2 I did a show in Swindon in all that snow. It was -7C. Tonight I'm doing the same theatre, for those who had tickets but couldn't get here. At the start it was 35C. That must be the biggest range in temperature for one show replacing the other."
