A PENSIONER has died after a collapse that saw 999 crews seal off parts of Coate Water Country Park.

Two ambulances, a rapid response paramedic vehicle and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance helicopter all responded to the emergency call, which was received at 10.15am on Monday morning.

Paramedics were seen performing CPR on the man, 80s. He is believed to have fallen ill off the footpath between the splash park and pitch-and-putt golf course.

The man was taken to GWH by ambulance but died later on Monday afternoon. A spokeswoman for Wiltshire Police said: “There are no suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared on behalf of the coroner.”

Flowers were left on railings near the Coate Water café earlier today.
