AN authentic and electrifying tribute to the era of rock and roll by the award-winning band The Bluejays arrives at Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre on Sunday.

Winners of the National Vintage Award for best band, The Bluejays take you on a historical journey through the bands and hits of a time and music that changed the world forever.

Between 1955 and 1959, artists such as Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, the Everly Brothers, Eddie Cochran and Little Richard not only transformed the musical landscape but also the way we continue to look at the world today.

Much more than just a concert show, The Bluejays perform breathtaking renditions of the biggest hits of the time, such as Rock Around The Clock, That’s All Right, That’ll Be The Day, Tutti Frutti, Summertime Blues, Johnny B. Goode, Wake Up Little Susie, La Bamba, A Teenager In Love and many more.

The Bluejays, made up of Ollie Seymour-Marsh, Dan Graham, Chris Reid and Adam Martin, were seen in Buddy, Dreamboats and Petticoats, and Million Dollar Quartet. They demonstrate how the Rock ‘n’ Roll movement brought about a dream of equality and freedom that we still chase to this day. The group, declared ‘a wonderful band’ by Queen’s Brian May, formed in 2013 after years of performing together in West End rock ‘n’ roll theatre shows. They have released an album called At Home with the Bluejays, which is a collection of band and audience favourites including Who Do You Love? and That’ll Be The Day.

Tickets for Sunday’s show are £23.50, with concessions available.
