THE Voice Kids finalist and star in the making Lilia Slattery has dazzled 200 young fans after she performed at the launch of children's activity club Draycott sports camp.

Swindon singer Lilia returned to the summer camp, which she had attended with siblings in previous years, to make her debut performance since the ITV Saturday night show's final

Lilia, 11, took to the stage to perform Stand By Me in front of children and sports coaches before meeting her new fans.

Draycott Sports Camp director Mark Draycott, 33, of Haydon End said: “She was brilliant, the kids loved seeing her perform and even the staff were as excited as the kids. She took part in the camp a couple of years ago and really enjoyed herself.

"She’s a local girl so it was a no brainer to get her to launch this summer’s camp. One of my goals when I started was to get more girls into sport and it’s great to see that we have a near 50 50 split now of boys and girls. I look at every coach the same whether male or female to get people who will give the children the best experience.

"Looking forward to the future I want to set up a secondary school camp.”

This year the summer camp is celebrating its fifth year and will coach over 200 children each day in a range of sports from Oakhurst Primary School.
