DUST off your blue suede shoes and tune in to the sounds of the fifties with the UK’s number one rock and roll band, the Bluejays.

Stars of Buddy, Dreamboats and Petticoats, and Million Dollar Quartet, the Bluejays present a thrilling and authentic tribute to the 1950s, the era that changed popular music forever.

The show at the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon on Sunday night will feature the biggest hits of the era by artists such as Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, the Everly Brothers, Eddie Cochran, Cliff Richard and more.

Described as more than just a concert show, the Bluejays take you on a historical journey through breathtaking renditions of the biggest hits of the era, such as Rock Around The Clock, That’s All Right, That’ll Be The Day, Tutti Frutti, Summertime Blues, Johnny B. Goode, Wake Up Little Susie, La Bamba, A Teenager In Love and many more.

Made up of Ollie Seymour-Marsh, Dan Graham, Chris Reid and Adam Martin, the Bluejays were described as ‘a wonderful band’ by Queen’s Brian May and formed in 2013 after years of performing together in West End rock ‘n’ roll shows.

The Bluejays have won the National Vintage Award for best band and released an album called At Home with the Bluejays, which is a collection of band and audience favourites including Who Do You Love? and That’ll be the Day.

The concert illustrates how the rock ‘n’ roll movement, was part of the dream of equality and freedom that we still chase to this day.

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £23.50 with concessions available. To book, call 01793 524481 or visit swindontheatres.co.uk.
