LOUIS Harvey was denied top spot at round six of the Rissington Kart Club Championships as he prepared for the next round of the British Superone Karting championship.

After qualifying third for the final, Malmesbury youngster Harvey put in a flawless performance by dominating the final until a manoeuvre by the second-place driver two corners before the line ruined both their races.

Heat one was a closely contested race and saw Harvey drop as low a seventh from his front row starting position, finally crossing the line in fifth place.

Heat two saw him carve his way through the pack from 11th and into the lead by lap eight which he held until a slight mistake on the final lap allowed a rival to slip by and take the chequered flag.

The third race saw a fantastic start from Harvey and some very quick reactions allowed him to avoid an incident on the first lap.

He was soon up into third place and battling for the lead. By lap six he was into second but due to the early race incident the leader was too far ahead to be caught with Harvey taking another second place.

Harvey lined up third on the grid for the final and by the second lap was already up into second before taking teh lead on the next lap.

Back in the lead by lap 10 Harvey looked well set, but a chasing kart made a desperate move around the outside and drove over the front of Harvey's kart allowing the chasing three karts to take the podium positions

Harvey will be racing again this weekend where all the top TKM drivers in the country race to win the TKM festival at Kimbolton Kart Club in East Anglia.
