YOUNG dancers will be exploring creative ideas and immersive virtual technologies in a four-day summer school at Swindon Dance next week.

Professionals from the Renaud Wiser Dance Company will be working with experienced dancers aged 14 to 18, investigating movement vocabulary and choreographic methods that interrogate the human relationship with the digital world.

The Renaud Wiser Dance Company was created in 2013 following a Dance City commission to create Renaud’s first full length evening of work. Renaud Wiser is a Swiss-born choreographer based in London, who trained in dance in Geneva before joining the Ballet Junior in 1998.

RWDC describes itself as a platform for exploration and collaboration, strongly rooted in the contemporary world, in which Renaud explores the human condition through the medium of dance and theatrical performance.

The summer school at Swindon Dance in Regent Circus begins on Monday, runs from 11am to 3pm, and costs £100 for all four days. It is one of a series of summer schools for young dancers, including and an urban summer school that finishes today, adult summer dance (August 20-23) and the Upside Down Inside Out summer school for children aged six to ten (August 20-22).
