Dancers are being offered the chance to make a career from teaching dance by studying for a diploma right here in Swindon. The The Regent Circus dance studio, Swindon Dance, based in the Town Hall, is the first centre to run the Diploma in Dance Pedagogy outside the Imperial Society for Teachers of Dance. The level 6 diploma is a regulated qualification equivalent to an undergraduate degree. The DDP graduates are eligible to apply for qualified teacher status. Classical ballet dancer Alison Beckett will be the course consultant. and progress to a Masters in Processional Practice.
