A SUSPECTED drug dealer failed to appear at court because he is being treated at a London psychiatric hospital, his lawyers said.
Matthew Vironi-White, 22, of High Road, north London, is accused of dealing heroin on Swindon’s streets.
He had been due to appear at Swindon Crown Court yesterday to indicate whether or not he pleaded guilty to the charge.
However, he did not show up at the hearing, with lawyers acting for the youngster saying he was receiving treatment at Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield.
Adam Williams, defending, showed the court a letter from a Dr Ali who is based at the hospital that said Vironi-White was too sick to be moved.
Judge Jason Taylor adjourned the case to September 21 for a psychiatric report to be prepared. Vironi-White is to attend court next month if he is well enough.
