Work scheduled to begin at Coate Water Roundabout on Monday has been postponed at the last minute.
Resurfacing and relining work was due to take place at the interchange between 8pm and 6am from Monday, August 20 to Friday, August 31, at the cost of £300,000.
An email to councillors from highways officers at Swindon Borough Council says the cancellation is due to the contractor raising the price. It adds: “We do not feel [this] is warranted and makes the scheme financially unviable. We will be looking at options for completing the scheme at a later date.”
