The style and music of legendary rock star Tina Turner will be recreated in a popular tribute show at the Wyvern Theatre on Friday night.

Called the Tina Turner Experience, this energetic show charts the life and career of one of the world's most well known performers.

Expect hits such as Private Dancer, Nutbush City Limits, Proud Mary, River Deep Mountain High and Let's Stay Together to name but a few.

The concert-style show features a seven-piece band, making this the only completely live touring tribute to the award-winning singer.

Julie Nevada stars as Tina Turner, and is billed as one of the world’s leading Tina Turner impersonators. She has studied Tina’s dance moves, facial expressions and voice for many years, perfecting her mannerisms to create an authentic performance with a series of glamorous costumes. A West End performer, Julie has also starred in Annie, the Sound of Music and Bugsy Malone.

Tina Turner was born in Nutbush, Tennessee in 1939 and rose to international fame as a singer with Ike Turner's Kings of Rhythm.

She went on to record hit singles with Ike and as a solo performer, becoming one of the world's best-selling artists of all time. She has won many awards and starred in several films, including Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, alongside Mel Gibson.

With powerful vocals, talented backing singers and professional dancers, this tribute show, which starts at 7.30pm, promises to be a night to remember. Tickets are £22 with concessions available. To book, call 01793 524481 or visit swindontheatres.co.uk.
