Model Danielle kicks in with award for Matt

MATT Fiddes' latest recruit to his martial arts empire turned the tables to make him the centre of attention at a presentation last night.

For the past six months, Matt has been working with glamour model and Celebrity Big Brother contestant Danielle Lloyd to train her in kickboxing and Tae Kwon Do as methods of self-defence.

The pair hooked up thanks to Matt's connections with Jermaine Jackson who became friends with Danielle in the Big Brother house earlier this year. Jermaine approached Matt to work as a bodyguard for the 23-year-old model.

But at Matt's hometown martial arts school in Station Road last night he had a chance to take the limelight as Danielle and his instructors handed over a certificate to mark him gaining the impressive status of sixth degree dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

The usual recipients of this accolade are much older than Matt's 28 years and unlike the five dans he already has, the sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth awards are given based on contributions to the martial arts world.

"He's a good teacher," said Danielle.

"It's such an achievement for him, and well done to Matt."
