SWINDON Town fan Floyd Chamberlain feels that he's been ripped off after football kit he saved up for was destroyed' in one wash.
The 14-year-old die-hard fan saved money from his paper round for a month to so that he could buy the £40 replica shirt from the Swindon Town shop.
But after just one wash, Floyd says that his team shirt was reduced to nothing but a red rag.
The teenager from Goddard Avenue said: "I was gutted really. I saved up the money for four weeks to get the shirt and it was wrecked almost straight away.
"I love Swindon Town. I have a season ticket and go to all the games but now I feel like I have been ripped off."
And Floyd isn't the only one as best friends Daniel Bridger, 16, and Adam Sykes, 14, have had the same problem.
Adam got the shirt and a Swindon Town season ticket six months ago as a 14th birthday present. He said; "After a few wears it obviously got dirty so I washed it and all the sponsorship logo came off it and the colour faded. It looks rubbish."
Adam's mum Louise, 46, said her son was furious that his shirt has been ruined and he felt he'd been let down.
Louise said: "He has been ripped off really. When you buy something you expect a certain degree of quality and some kind of guarantee.
"It is a lot of money to spend on a shirt, and now he doesn't even have that of course he's angry."
Floyd added: "We want replacements but are too scared to buy another three shirts in case they do exactly the same thing."
Swindon Town may face an embarrassing situation if the faulty kits are still passing through the net.
Last week the club handed over free football kits to the town's Bangladeshi Association.
The Bangladeshi Association Youth and Community Centre in Cricklade Road, Gorse Hill, is home to a youth club. The kits were donated in a bid to get more young people interested in the game.
Swindon Town spokesman Chris Tanner said: "Yes, we have experienced a few problems with a rogue batch of 400 shirts but it is something we are trying to sort out."

Im more surprised that a 14th year old got a season ticket for his birthday! How much would that cost?! Yes I think we should set up a fans forum and have Rolly Mafeking as our spokesperson. He will sort the charlatans out - wouldnt you say so PS?

The new board have been fantastic in their approach to running the clubn and relations with the fans. Write to one of the new directors about the shirts and the attitude of the staff. the new board have a genuine desire to get this club up and running again and to improve every aspect of it.
yep new owners but the same smell coming out from the county ground, when my shrt fell apart they told me I was a spaz that could not use a washing machine, yet all my other clothing was fine, I hope the adver chase this one up as they have comitted day light robbery here, it takes most people the best part of a day to earn £40 and it's just so wrong to try and shift the blame.

Believe it or not some people care about their local team and dont follow football teams just to bathe in the glory of their team winning silverware.

If everybody stopped supporting their "third rate team" and only watched the glory boys at Arse, Manure or Chelski football would be dull. Come on Town!Although Im glad that the mighty LIVERPOOL has not been included in your funny puns, Im kind off a little miffed that you didnt.

The club have admitted that the first batch was faulty, but they refuse to change the shirt because my son didn't keep his receipt. The supporters shop is the only place that sells them, so it is pretty obvious where it came from!
I also have the shirts, My missus took note of the actual warning when they were bought, only to wash at 30 degrees. My shirts are fine. Stop blaming everyone else and realise you made a mistake or you bought online and didnt read the numerous posters in the club shop. How can the new regime be blamed? they didnt order the **** shirts. Anywayif your shirt is ok carry on wshing at 30 degrees. if its not but another. the club need all the money they can get.

400 rouge kits my ****, they have robbed 1000s of fans that has bought this year shirt of 40 quid each and they wont even admit it or apologise, well I tell yer until the club stop blaming this on my missus washing standards and I get an apology as I know a refund would be too much to ask for, I will never buy another town shirt or be renewing my season ticket, as I can think of better things to do with £500 of my own money then throw it at people that treat with contempt like this.
