A PASTOR will be travelling with his flock to one of the poorest countries in Europe to renovate schools.
Tom Price, 40, and 15 other members of Wroughton Assemblies Of God will work on schools in the port city of Durres in Albania.
The church is also looking for donations of sports and IT equipment for the schools.
The group started working with churches in Albania in 2005, through church leader Genti Mullalieu, who is Albanian.
Tom said: "I've been to Albania before to hold seminars to help teach the local church leaders. We have also sponsored a Bible college student with funding the translation of books from English to Albanian.
"Last year we bought a Land Rover for the church there and this year we are hoping our project will benefit the community.
"Apart from renovating schools and getting equipment we will also be funding the covering of a sewage ditch that runs alongside another school due to health and safety concerns.
"Such projects not only give help where it is needed but also open people's minds to different cultures and communities.
"We are looking to take display boards, magnolia and white paint, computers, printers, copiers, and projectors.
"We are also looking for any sort of sports equipment, all preferably either new or in good condition.
"We will also be taking shelving materials and things like screws, brushes, and nails amongst other things, which will be purchased in Albania."
Any donated items can be taken to the Open Hands Christian Fellowship, in Lagos Street, Swindon, where the Wroughton group meets.
