Man injured in assault

A MAN was left with serious head injuries after an assault on Saturday.
At about 8pm the man was walking along Burley Close, in Walcot, when he was approached by two men in a car.
The two men got out of the vehicle and attacked their victim.
He was taken to hospital but his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
Two men have been arrested and are being questioned by police, who are appealing for witnesses to the attack.
