Your Walcot meeting a success

MEMBERS of the community packed out the Walcot Dome on Wednesday night to hear about the launch of the Adver's new web project, Your Walcot.

The microsite, within the Adver's own website, will contain news, reviews, opinion and pictures from Walcot, written by the community for the community.

Following a lively and interesting meeting, a number of people signed up for the new site, which will launch next month.

Swindon Advertiser digital media editor Gill Harris said: "It was a thoroughly enjoyable meeting and we were delighted by both the turnout and the positive response we received.

"The first of these microsites to launch was Your Stratton and in April alone, it attracted 3,500 hits, which is great news.

"It means people in the community can use our website to publicise their activities, worries, issues that matter to them - anything really.

"We're sure Your Walcot will be as big a success as Your Stratton has been and can't wait to get going on it."
