WOMEN preparing to set off on this year's Race For Life will want to be looking their best at the starting line, as hunky male cheerleaders will be helping gee them up for the run.

The Nivea cheerleaders will be providing a treat for participants in the Saturday race, with their high kicks and swinging hips.

The cosmetics firm is one of the Race For Life's associate partners, and it is helping rake in the cash by selling fundraising flowers for donations of at least £1 over the coming weekend. Participants' significant others can reward their efforts with the special Do Something Beautiful bouquet of flowers for £30 from www.NIVEA.co.uk/raceforlife with profits going to Cancer Research UK.

Sarah Carter, from Nivea, said: "Although Race for Life is a women-only event we really want men to feel that they can offer their support and play an important part in the day too.

"Our cheerleaders will add to the already great atmosphere on the day and encourage guys to offer their support to their female friends and relatives."

All participants will receive a goody bag packed with Nivea treats to keep them looking and feeling great after the event, while visitors can meet the male cheerleaders who will be handing out free balloons.
