POLICE tasked with tracking down metal thieves continued their work in Pewsey.
Officers from the Operation Herald team stopped a 33-year-old Salisbury man driving a flat bed lorry and seized it and its scrap metal load, as the vehicle was being used without insurance and was in a dangerous condition.
The man is also now under investigation by the Environment Agency for carrying waste products without proper paperwork.
This man was not arrested, but has been reported for summons, and will be appearing in court in the near future.
Two other men are also being investigated by the Environment Agency for carrying waste without the relevant carriers certificate in force.
