MELINDA Messenger made it through and avoided the skate off despite what she described as not her best performance in Dancing on Ice.
The 37-year-old Swindon born model-turned-skater breathed a sigh of relief as the public voted her and partner Fred Palascak through despite a stumble in her routine that knocked her early confidence.
Skating in a yellow-fringed gold outfit to The Saturdays’ hit ‘Up’ Melinda scored a respectable 16.5.
“It wasn’t my best week and the frustrating thing from my point of view was that it could have been,” she said after her performance.
“In rehearsals it was going so well.”
Judge Ruthie Henshall, who scored Melinda 3.5, said: “This was not your best week,”
“You need to work on your leg lines, they can be quite ugly at times.
“But I do see an improvement.”
Former Eastenders star Todd Carty was given the boot by the judges after a skate off against rugby player Ellery Hanley.
