Strange lights seen in skies over Swindon

RESIDENTS across Swindon are reporting seeing "strange, dancing lights" in the skies above Swindon last night.

Chris Williams, from the Swindon UFO Research group, has been in touch with the Adver to say the lights were seen at around 9pm and were witnessed by many people from varying locations around the town.

There initial investigations show that it is most likely to be a laser or light show - but they want to find out more.

Did you see the lights? Maybe you know of a show that took place or can suggest another reason behind the sightings.

OBVIOUSLY it was the lights made by space craft flown by intelligent beings from another planet. Probably on a scouting mission to hunt out intelligent life in Swindon.

You'll notice they didn't land

Borrrrrrrrrrrrrring. Its bad enough the Adver paper being filled with anything to fill a space, now on here to ?? e.g a couple of weeks ago, did they not carry a meaningles small story about Melinda Messenger and Family Fortunes on Itv 2,3 or 4, which was a repeated programme ???!!!! Like i said, anything to fill a space.

I reckon the aliens were searching for a decent local paper, they didn't stop in Swindon.

Ben " Reggie" Perrin must be a tad short in the pack of cards! Surely this is the same phenomena as recently witnessed in Stratton and lauded bySA as "UFO's seen in Stratton" whwen all they turned out to be was Chinese Lanterns!! Isn't there just an itsy-bitsy teeny weeny chance these latest objects are the same?????

Having watched these 'lights' last night for over 45 minutes, I can safely say they are not something that can be dississed easily, if at all. They were not planes, helicopters, satelites, torch beams, lasers, baloons, floating lanterns, a planet, star, comet, meteor, radio controlled spy plane, military aircraft, or anything else that I could readily think of to explain the way in which they moved (having studied Astronomy at Uni, I know what is unusual). Over 10 of us wathed this sight (plus loads more that we know of as far as away as Malmesberry when we spoke to the Police). So wake up Swindon... this is the real X-Files and not some staged event. These things moved like lightening, dancing around in the sky, turning in sharp moves, they were silent and this happened right above our heads in Abbey Meads. We have reported it to Swindon UFO Research to investigate further. As far as I am concerned this is the the type of event that is recorded as the 5% that cannot be accounted for, so please leave out the silly stuff and lets look for scientific reasons here.

Chinese laterns. Come on 6.15 in the morning hovering about 1000ft above Stratton. This was no farce, they were something in the skies that morning, my hubby only wishes he took his mobile whilst walking the dog. THese were no fancy lights or lasers, helicopters or anything else militery. We are not the only ones in this universe, I think the militery are covering up so much. So Yes I do think they were something from beyond our world. Call me mad what ever I know what I saw.
