MUSIC fans today gave Radio 1’s Chris Moyles a warm welcome in Swindon ahead of the Big Weekend event in May.

A gathering of about 200 people descended on O’Neills bar in Fleet Street where the radio DJ broadcast his breakfast show today.

The excited crowd laughed and joked with Chris as he signed autographs and posed for photographs outside the venue.

“It’s nice to see a crowd like this waiting for us,” said Chris. “We don’t normally have anything like this as our location is normally kept secret.This (Radio 1’s Big Weekend) is massive for Swindon.”

The event will be held at Lydiard Park over the weekend of May 9 and 10.

i was in oneills earlier today having a pint,the staff was saying moyles and crew could not get out of this sh?ithole of a town centre quick enough.bulldoze the lot of it!!

They could have chosen the Old College building. A shining beacon of the thriving regeneration of the Town Centre.

I was in Oneills yesterday helping out when Radio One were there, they didnt run off as soon as they could they stayed for photos and chatted with us all. Oneill's was the perfect venue as it was St Patricks day and there was plenty of room for 2 bands to perform.

Chris Moyles what an oaf, ill educated , unfunny and totally tasteless ideal for Swindon really. As for Snow patrol playing did anybody's arse drop off with boredom when they played ?
