Coate Water's Nature Reserve has new heron chicks

11:30am Thursday 26th March 2009

BIRD lovers can visit Coate Water’s nature reserve this weekend to see newly hatched heron chicks.

Twitchers can join a 1.5 mile stroll on Saturday and watch them from the hides, learn more about herons and hopefully watch as the parents feed the young.

The two and a half hour walk will be guided by the park’s ranger team and starts at 10.30am, meeting at the Coate ranger centre at Coate Water.

Places should be booked in advance by calling Coate Ranger Centre on 01793 490150.
