SHE’S just nine-years-old but is already a star in the making.
Little Kayleigh Williams stole the show at the first round of Swindon Talent 09 held at Purton Village Hall.
The youngster, who attends Oliver Tompkins Junior School in Toothill, was the first to book her place in August’s finals after delivering a stunning performance of Adele’s “Chasing Pavements.”
“I was quite nervous to start with, but when I saw my nan in the audience encouraging me, I really got into it,” said Kayleigh.
“I have been practising and practising, and I knew I had got it right when my nan said it was good.”
Nan is Julie Williams who runs the K School of Music in Gorse Hill where Kayleigh has singing lessons.
“I thought she was great,” said Julie. “Kayleigh sang at her first show last Christmas, and this was only the second time she has been on stage.”
