THE proposed expansion of a North Swindon school will be discussed at a meeting on Wednesday.
Swindon Council wants to increase the number of pupils at St Francis Church of England Primary School, on Aiken Road, Taw Hill.
From September 2011 the council wants to add seven classrooms to increase the overall capacity from 210 to 420 places.
The school supports the plans and a consultation period found that 88 per cent of parents who responded were in favour of the expansion.
A special meeting of Swindon Council’s cabinet will discuss the plan from 6pm at the Civic Office, in Euclid Street.
