ENVIRONMENTAL charity, Green Standards Trust, is offering bargain hunters a great deal on office furniture at a forthcoming event.
The charity will host a sale on Saturday to ensure redundant office furniture and IT equipment worth thousands of pounds does not end up in landfill sites.
The sale will take place at the Waste to Wonder warehouse in South Marston Industrial Park.
All proceeds will be used to support the running costs of the charity, which was formed in Swindon in 2003.
Furniture on sale will include desks chairs, storage cabinets, pedestals and whiteboards.
Trust Co-ordinator Olivia McCann said: “The quality of the furniture being disposed of by companies is so good because they are only a couple of years old. People can buy a chair for £20 when it could have cost them £200.
“We offer a unique and dedicated service that substantially reduces landfill whilst enabling local people, community groups, educational bodies and charities to function more effectively.
“Green Standards encourages re-use as a means of protecting our environment.”
