COMPUTER experts will give teenagers a taste of the skills needed to become film directors, radio DJs and animators.
The British Computer Society (BCS) will host free digital media workshops in Swindon to teach children how to edit and make films, radio shows and animations. Dates are yet to be arranged.
BCS education consultant Peter Leavy said: “These workshops are designed to be fun but there’s also a real benefit in teaching children how to create digital media projects – such as making their own films.
“It encourages them to work in groups and communicate, but also provides skills that can be used in all subject lessons.”
Interested schools should email Mr Leavy at peter.leavy@hq.bcs.org.uk.
