THREE of the biggest voices in the music world – Lulu, Chaka Khan and Anastacia – are set to blow the dome off the Oasis leisure centre with a high-volume, high-octane gig later this year.

The three divas have joined forces for a new show called called Here Come The Girls, and they are stopping off in Swindon on November 27.

Tickets go on sale at 9.30am tomorrow.

The show promises to be filled with camp, get-up-and-dance songs that everyone will recognise, set against a backdrop of high glamour.

Lulu, who hit on the idea of bringing the three together, said: “Putting this together has been exciting and I am thrilled that these great voices - now my great friends, Chaka Khan and Anastacia - are sharing the experience with me.

“The show is a celebration of women, with a little bit of mischief and a lot of fun.”

Lulu has performed in the town twice before, as support for Elton John when he played the County Ground in 2005, and again at the football ground back in 1976, when she was dating Bee Gee Maurice Gibb.

She is best known for her first hit, Shout, which was released in 1964 when she was 15, but she has gone on to make the charts in every decade since. She performed with Take That on their 1993 No 1 Relight My Fire.

Grammy award-winning soul singer Chaka Khan has been in the music business since the 1960s, and her biggest hits include the anthems I’m Every Woman, Ain’t Nobody and I Feel for You. She said: “The idea for this show caught my imagination the moment Lulu mentioned it to me.

“We have now built a show that we ourselves would be excited to go and see.”

Anastacia, nicknamed “the little lady with the big voice”, first found fame in 2000.

Her most memorable songs include I’m Outta Love, Left Outside Alone and Sick and Tired.

She added: “I’ve long been an admirer of both Lulu and Chaka Khan so it’s a dream come true to be touring with them.”

Tickets for Here Come The Girls range from £25 to £40 and can be bought from the Oasis on (01793) 445401 or from www.gigsandtours.com or www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
