THOUSANDS of Christmas gifts are being wrapped throughout Swindon and Wiltshire for deprived children abroad.
Now anyone wanting to donate to Operation Christmas Child needs to do so before Wednesday, November 18.
The organisation sends shoe-boxes with gifts to children in countries such as Belarus, Bosnia and Romania.
It is the biggest annual project run by Samaritan’s Purse, the evangelical Christian charity.
“This is a big date on our calendar,” said Roger Fenton, the regional manager of Operation Christmas Child.
“It is a huge task but well worth it. The children receiving them have difficult lives.”
Anyone wanting to make up a shoebox should go to the website www.operationchristmaschild.org.uk and find out what kind of gifts to put into it and locate the nearest drop off point.
If anyone has any questions they can call the helpline on 0870 011 2002.
