FREE guided walks around Lydiard Park will provide a tree-mendous afternoon for Swindon residents this Saturday.
Park warden Mark Eborn will take people through the wooded areas of the historic park, pointing out the various species of trees as well as giving information on the history of the woodlands and how they are being managed today.
Mr Eborn said: “Our trees are some of the most striking and best-loved features of this historic park. They range from the impressive chestnut and cedar trees on the lawns to more diverse species in the woodlands around the lakes and parkland.”
