A man is to face trial by jury after pleading not guilty to a charge of rape.
Shah Amran is said to have carried out the sex attack on a woman on Sunday, September 27, last year.
Amran, 30, of County Road, pleaded not guilty to the single count when he appeared at Swindon crown court.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Monday, May 17, when Amran is due to face trial by jury. Amran was released on bail on condition that he does not work as a taxi driver and does not carry a female he does not know in his car.
Amran must also observe a curfew between 9pm and 6am, must not contact the prosecution witnesses and must reside at a specified address.
