Inquest verdict due on stream death

THE inquest into the death of Daniel Barry, whose body was discovered in a stream in Rodbourne Cheney last year, will be concluded today.

The 39-year-old from Pinehurst was found face down in the stream near recreation ground at Tovey Road on January 27, 2009.

His death was met with shock from residents who had witnessed the discovery of another body at the same location a decade earlier.

Mr Barry’s death was not treated as suspicious at the time and a pathologist’s report the week after the discovery of his body gave drowning as a cause of death.

The inquest will be held at Trowbridge Coroners Court.
