SWINDON police are renewing their appeal for information and witnesses after a young girl was approached and shouted at by a man in a black van in Penhill earlier this month.
The incident happened in Downton Road at 8.20am on Thursday, February 4.
The van is described as having smoked or darkened side windows with graffiti-style writing on the nearside passenger door which consisted of seven to eight words in white and surrounded by a red, swirly patterned border.
The driver of the vehicle was black man, aged 35 to 45, bald on top with hair around the side of his head.
He was wearing glasses and is believed to have been wearing grey tracksuit trousers and a red hooded top with black stripes. He had a very distinctive earring with a hole through his ear lobe that you could see through.
Detective Constable Matt Lewis said: “While the girl was not physically harmed this was a very frightening incident for her and we are continuing to support her at this time.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Matt Lewis on 0845 408 7000 ext 760637 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
