Busy year ahead for male voice choir

3:00pm Tuesday 9th March 2010

THE singers of Swindon Male Voice Choir have lined up a packed and prestigious series of events.

Already they have enjoyed linking up for the early part of 2010 with the Builth Wells Male Voice Choir as well as performing at Wanborough parish church.

Now the choir is preparing for a concert with Cricklade Band for a Purton Royal British Legion Concert on March 13, and then at Heytesbury, Warminster, in April.

They then travel to Godolphin School, Salisbury, on May 22, for a charity event supporting Salisbury District Hospital Stars’ Appeal, Caring 4 Kids.

The choir is also staging a major concert at the Oasis Leisure Centre, Swindon, featuring the REME military band, supporting Help 4 Heroes and associated charities on June 19.

A few weeks later they will make a trip across to Ireland to perform concerts in Wexford and Dublin.

Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings at the Function Room of the New Century Club, Gorse Hill, starting at 7.30pm.

Potential new members are invited to go along to a rehearsal.
