POLICE have released an e-fit of the man they want to speak to after a young woman was assaulted in Lawn Woods.

She was out walking in the snow when a man approached her, he befriended her and then walked through the woods with her where she was then assaulted.

The man is described as aged 40 to 45 years old, 6ft to 6ft 2in tall, of medium build, with short dark greying hair and an unshaven face.

During the incident, which happened about 2.30pm on Wednesday, January 6, the man is said to have been wearing a fluorescent workman’s style jacket.

Detective Constable Justine Wilkinson of Swindon CID said: “This was a very frightening attack for the woman involved.”
