WORM charming and bell ringing will announce the beginning of Cricklade’s bid to be crowned the country’s most floral town.
The Cricklade in Bloom National Finalist Launch Day will include the slippery creatures in a competition for all the family as well as a quarter peal by the St Sampson’s bell ringers.
Events will be going on at Saxons Rest, off Waylands, in Cricklade to launch the finalist for Britain in Bloom on Sunday, March 28 from noon until 3pm.
Hog roast and refreshments will be available. Music will be provided by the Cricklade Band.
Entry forms for the worm competition cost £2 and rules can be obtained from the town council offices, Cricklade Bloomers or shops in Cricklade.
