PUPILS from St Joseph’s Catholic College put politicians and business leaders under the spotlight with a Question Time session.
The students, who are all studying for AS level, fired a variety of questions at the panel which included South Swindon MP, Anne Snelgrove; Robert Buckland, the Conservative’s prospective parliamentary candidate for South Swindon; Stan Pajak, leader of the Liberal Democrat group at Swindon Council; former St Joseph’s pupil, Zeno Calaco, now vice-president of publisher and developer relations with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe; paralympic equestrian gold medallist, Ann Dunham, and Dave King, editor of the Swindon Advertiser.
The 90-minute session included questions on unemployment benefits, the recession, standards in schools, the war in Afghanistan, the future of the Falkland Islands and the protection of vulnerable children by social services.
