Thieves break into Pizza Hut

AROUND £4,000 has been taken in a burglary at a branch of Pizza Hut.

The restaurant, on Cricklade Road, was targeted around 3am on Monday.

Offenders broke in through the rear door, from Whitworth Road and Chestnut Avenue.

They removed a safe containing the cash from the manager’s office.

It is believed there were two offenders who are described as wearing black winter jackets with their hoods up, black trousers and black gloves.

One of them was carrying a pole and the other a crowbar.
