Meeting to be held on cuts

AN OPEN meeting is being held for people with learning difficulties to express their views on proposed council cuts in services.

The Swindon Advocacy Movement is hosting the meeting at Temple House, Temple Street, town centre, on Thursday, September 9, from 1pm to 5pm.

Manager Dawn Dixon said: “We are concerned that the Swindon Council consultation is just by email so we are holding the open afternoon.

“It is open to everyone who is worried about losing the Lifestyle unit in the town and Connect Supported Employment and the threat of cuts in services.”

For more details of the open afternoon call Dawn on 01793 542266.

Why?
.
1. We know they will be against any cuts.
2. It won't make a scrap of difference.
