A JUDGE has adjourned the case of 11 people accused of being involved in a conspiracy to supply class-A drugs.

All but one of the defendants crammed into the dock at Swindon Crown Court for the brief hearing.

They are alleged to have been involved in supplying heroin and crack cocaine last year.

Judge Euan Ambrose adjourned the case to Friday, May 13 when all 11 are due to attend and enter their pleas to the two charges.

The defendants are:
Christine Broomfield, 34, of Back Street, Ashton Keynes;
Leo Dart, 29, of Hyde Road, Kingsdown;
Jacqueline Edwards, 37, of Union Street, Old Town;
Carl Hislop, 27, of Beddington Court, Kingsdown;
Christopher Howard, 31, of Sandgate, Stratton;
Gary Steptoe, 31, of Kingswood Avenue;
Leon Symonds, 30, of Charlton Close, Penhill;
Emma Welch, 23, of Rawston Close, Nythe;
Ewan Williams, 23, of Cypress Grove, Rodbourne Cheney.


James Dawson, 26, of Neasdon Lane, north London.


Craig Gibbs, 26, of Greenmeadow Avenue, Haydon Wick.

No charges were put and no pleas were entered.

Symonds was unable to attend the hearing and all were released on bail on condition they live at their home addresses until the next hearing.
