SWINDON soldier Ben Fouracre and his rowing team are on course to arrive in Falmouth within the next 10 days as they continue their voyage across the Atlantic.
The team of Royal Engineers set out from New York on June 10.
Since then Team Hesco have encountered waves the size of houses - and raised more than £55,000 for the Meningitis Trust.
The team's promoter Adrian Bell said last night: "Our latest information suggests that the team will make landfall in Falmouth perhaps Tuesday next week, or maybe a couple of days later.
"The shore support team will be based in Falmouth from this weekend, and is aiming to see the boat across the finish line at the Scilly Isles. We'll then wait for them to row into Falmouth."
