A GRANDMOTHER from Elstree raised more than £11,000 for charity after finishing the London Marathon in five hours and 41 minutes.
Rolanda Hyams, 56, of Park Crescent, who was featured in last week's The Borehamwood & Elstree Times, just missed out on her goal of completing the 26.2 mile run in under five and a half hours.
However, the accountant and mother-of-two managed to raise an astonishing £11,274 for Kisharon, a charity that cares for Jewish people with learning difficulties.
