THE PARENTS of a Park North girl with severe autism have nearly raised enough cash to send her for special therapeutic treatment.
Chloe Grace's parents, Rob and Julie, have raised £16,000 of the £20,000 they need to send their daughter on a course in America.
If they can raise the final £4,000 Chloe will attend the two-week Son Rise programme.
Patients spend eight hours a day with special staff who work on developing eye contact and interaction skills.
Julie said: "We're so close, and we've come so far.
"We just hope that someone out there can help us reach our final target to help raise this money."
Earlier this month the campaign coffers were boosted by £4,000 thanks to Keith Mayo's charity boxing match held in Stratton.
Julie said: "What Keith did is just amazing, and maybe there's somebody with a similar idea.
"At the moment Chloe has no social skills whatsoever - she can't speak to others and she also cannot maintain eye contact with people.
"She is hyperactive as well as autistic so staff would work on trying to gain her attention first of all."
