RESIDENTS from the Queens Park area of Swindon are being invited to a special crime forum meeting tonight.
Members of the public will be joined by representatives of the police, the council and local businesses to try to resolve the problems in the area.
Forum organiser Coun Dave Wood (LD, Eastcott) said: "Residents in the area have reported destruction to cars and property, drug dealing and personal abuse on a continual basis.
"Crime is ruining the lives of some local residents and action must be taken.
"The council is planning to refurbish the play park where offenders congregate soon. We want to make sure the new facilities are not vandalised."
The meeting takes place at 6.30pm at the Civic Offices on Euclid Street.
