After winning five of the last seven games which includes three away wins, three clean sheets in a row and Paolo even naming an unchanged team for the last 3 games, what’s next for Town this season?

We now look like a team who will challenge for promotion and all the aspects needed to gain promotion were all on show last Saturday and Tuesday.

Despite being bottom of the table Plymouth showed enough evidence that they’ve got every chance of survival this season but thanks to one of the best team goals ever scored by Swindon we left Home Park with all 3 points.

Tuesday nights win over Gillingham I think is the biggest result of the season so far.

Even though The Gills could have taken the lead in the first half we showed all the fighting spirit needed to come away with a vital 3 points with Matt Ritchie’s goal being one of the best finishes ever seen in front of the Town End.

One player who seems to have slipped under the radar has been Huddersfield loanee Liam Ridehalgh.

Since coming into the side he’s linked up well with Raffaele De Vita and has looked solid defensively at left back, keeping hold of Liam on loan will be a key signing moving on into the rest of the season.

Another unsung hero has been Jonathan Smith in central midfield, after playing non-league football his entire career he’s fitted into replacing Jonathan Douglas very well so far.

He also has an excellent long range shot in his locker as we’ve found out twice this season already.

This Saturday Town welcomes Bradford to the County Ground in a game massive for both side but for very different reasons.

After the recent run of victories I doubt Paolo will change much this Saturday with the exception of one of his strikers.

With Mehdi Kerrouche back after a recent suspension it would be hard not to include him alongside Jake Jervis up front with Cristian Montano making way.

But after Alan Connell’s brilliant cameo appearance on Tuesday you can’t rule out his return to the starting eleven either.

One forced change might be Alan McCormack being replaced at centre back with him being injured on Tuesday night helping to block a certain Gillingham goal.

Joe Devera seems the likely choice to come into the side but after replacing McCormack well during the week Alessandro Cibocchi could be set for his second start of the season.

Bradford do have some quality with James Hanson up front and Michael Flynn in midfield but with Town on an excellent run and with players in a confident mood I think Town will be moving further up League Two with another 3 points.
