Peatmoor Community primary school Pepperbox Hill Peatmoor Swindon Wiltshire SN5 5DP Thursday 8th December 2011 Dear citizens of Peatmoor, Do you want to live in a dumpsite?

Peatmoor is a wonderful place to live, with wonderful flowers and a glorious lake. Recently Year 5 (Peatmoor School) discovered some concerns and many disgusting things.

On Tuesday 6th December Year 5 pupils from Peatmoor Primary school went and explored their local environment. Year 5 have found some issues which are making them feel very anxious.

Concerns There are many hazardous slabs that are smashed.

Grit bag (wrong place).

Missing bricks near cash machine.

We need more visible dog poo bins.

There is a lot of litter in bushes.

We need dog poo signs.

There is an out of line pothole near the surgery.

Lots of graffiti.

Chewing gum on floor.

We did find good aspects of our environment Positive Last years graffiti is cleaned off.

Lots of lighting.

New slabs near shops.

Many facilities (co-operative, surgery, Chinese restaurant and fish and chips shop).

We must take action now. We care about our local area.

Help now before it’s too late!

Yours sincerely, Thomas Johnson aged 9 Based on information supplied by Thomas Johnson aged 9, Peatmoor Community primary school.
